| As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Keith McDonald knows a thing or two about how to make dentistry friendly to pint-sized patients on a fast track for growth. He describes himself as a pediatrician of dentistry, having studied and completed a pediatric dental residence. Dr. McDonald is glad to be working with Cascade Bank because they know how to make banking friendly for his growing practice. He is so delighted, in fact, that he does all of his business and personal banking with Cascade.
Dr. McDonald served in the Navy for a decade and worked as a pediatric dentist for three years in Okinawa, Japan. Deciding the next step for his career after the Navy gave him much to consider. He was unsure about joining a partnership or launching a start-up practice and was entirely new to bank financing, though he knew he wanted to do business in the Puget Sound Region.
"I did a lot of reading about my options and considered using a private bank or a loan corporation," he said. Dr. McDonald corresponded with several bankers from overseas. He learned about Cascade from Dr. Robert L. Odegard, who had great things to say about Cascade. Dr. McDonald said it was Cascade's personal touch that made the most important difference.
Dr. McDonald's practice launched in September 19, 2005 and things have been progressing well since then. "Cascade has a great understanding of my numbers and how my practice would grow. They've been very flexible and fair regarding how and when to start paying on the loan principal." Dr. McDonald says that one of the things he really likes about Cascade Bank is that they really try hard to bring other dentists and professionals together so they can connect and collaborate to advance their collective interests.
"I've always had a positive outlook on where I was going, whether I was playing college football, painting, playing music or practicing dentistry. I've always believed that hard work pays off. Today, my hard work is paying off. Eventually, I'd like to have a partner and add a second office. I gained a keen appreciation for working with others in close quarters in the Navy. As my practice grows, I definitely see myself growing with Cascade." |
