Employee Volunteers
The impact of Cascade's corporate giving is multiplied as Cascade employees connect with their communities by donating their time and funds. Employee volunteerism ranges from participating in disaster relief fundraising to landscaping work at local non-profits.
Below are just a few Cascade Bank employees who are representative of the many who serve in our communities.
Bill Raser
VP/Commercial Real Estate Officer
Bill Raser is an active supporter of local organizations Sky Valley Food Bank and Snohomish Affordable Housing Group. Bill has been involved with the Sky Valley Food Bank for more than 25 years and has served as Board President for more than 20 years. Bill’s involvement with the food bank includes participating in the organization’s special seasonal offerings including Christmas packages for low income families and school supplies for children that would not otherwise have them. Bill has served on the Board of Directors of the Snohomish Affordable Housing Group for more than 6 years. The goal of this organization is to build affordable apartments for people in need. Community donations finance the apartments, which are rented at 60% of market value, providing a viable option for many people in our community.
Charlie Chaffin
SVP/Specialty Banking Group Manager
Since 2006, Charlie has served on the Everett Community College Foundation Board, along with having a seat on the finance committee for this entity. Created in 1984, the Everett Community College Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation established to provide financial support for Everett Community College programs, services, equipment, scholarships, and capital improvements. The Foundation, in alliance with corporations, businesses, and individuals, is stepping forward to assure that EvCC is prepared to continue the tradition of providing quality educational programs to meet the workforce needs in our community.
Community Involvement and Sponsorships
Dedication to our community has always been a cornerstone of our corporate philosophy. We understand that giving back to our communities through volunteer efforts and sponsorships is simply the right thing to do, and that helping to maintain healthy communities sustains our success.
Cascade has a steadfast commitment to corporate philanthropy and its involvement with local organizations, charities and fundraisers continues to expand each year. Here is just a sampling of organizations that Cascade supports.
